Unlike many other Ford models, these trucks and clusters don’t need immobilizer programming, so the truck will run without the cluster installed. The security system is not linked to the cluster like the E-series clusters.

Many of these F-150 clusters are part number and year specific so you are unable to put a 2008 cluster in your 2004 or vice versa. These clusters came in different varieties. Some F-150 lusters came without a tachometer, with a tachometer, in FX4 graphics, Lariat or King Ranch trim with VFD displays and a higher end gauge overlay, floor shift, column shift, and other options. It is possible to install a 2004 Lariat style cluster into your base model F-150. Lastly, if you have individual gauge problems or movement issues you must let us know ahead of time. These specific gauge issues are beyond the typical problems associated with these instrument panels and we typically won’t perform individual gauge testing. If you do not let us know about individual gauge issues, then they will not be fixed.  These problems require individual stepper motor replacement at an additional cost that would significantly raise the price of the repair service if we replaced them on every unit.
