Are your parts new?

Our Replacement Units are not new. These instrument clusters, climate controls, ECUs, etc., are used, refurbished units. They are rebuilt and tested to ensure they are in working condition before we ship them.

Most of our DIY Repair Components are brand new components. The very few repair components we sell that are used & tested specifically say this in the listing.

Are digital odometer corrections legal?

It is legal to correct digital odometer mileage as long as you follow the laws, disclosure, and regulations, but keep in mind that local laws vary by state. Odometer mileage can only be corrected to reflect the actual miles on the vehicle. You can not willingly and knowingly reduce odometer mileage for any reason. You can set odometer mileage to 0. In this event, you must place an approved sticker in your door jamb stating the reason for correction to 0. You will need to complete our odometer correction form and send it along with your cluster.

How do I know if I need an odometer correction?

If you’re keeping your original instrument cluster, then you do not need to worry about correcting the miles. When you replace the LCD screen or do any other type of repair, your mileage will remain the same since it is actually stored within the instrument cluster.

If you’re replacing the instrument cluster, then you do need to have the vehicle’s mileage programmed into the replacement cluster. When you purchase a refurbished instrument cluster from Tanin Auto Electronix, the odometer correction is included!

What’s the turn around time to get my repaired component back?

The turnaround times on our repair services vary by make and model. Please check the service listing on our website for our current turnaround time. Our turnaround times are an estimate and may be extended based on current repair volume.

Where are you located? If I am local, can I dropoff and/or pick up my item?

And yes, if you would like to save on shipping, you are more than welcome to dropoff or pick up an item. But you are required to call ahead of time and schedule an appointment. We do not accept walk-ins.

Is it possible to expedite my repair service?

Yes. We offer same-day services for both non-local and local customers. When purchasing a repair service on our site, you have the option of selecting expedited services.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my same-day appointment? (Local)

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit will be charged when you schedule your same-day appointment. If you are running late or need to reschedule, you must let us know in advance or you will be subject to additional service fees. A simple phone call letting us know you are running late is all we need!

How do I start a warranty claim?

Contact us before sending anything back. All warranty claims must be discussed and authorized prior to shipping your item back to us. We are not responsible for any shipping costs if an item is sent to us unauthorized.

What type of warranty do you offer with your parts and services?

What is the best method and address to ship my part to you?

Properly package your part to avoid any damage while it’s in transit, and ship it to us using the carrier of your choice. You also have the option of using our UPS Portal to create a shipping label. Find more details on our Shipping page.

Do you include insurance on the package when shipping as the units are very difficult to replace?

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit/credit cards as well as PayPal, Cash, and Checks. If you pay with Cash or Check, you will receive a 5% discount.

What shipping service do you use?

When shipping parts to customers, we use UPS, USPS, or Speedee Delivery (Midwest). The service used depends on the item we are shipping and the address it is going to. If you are purchasing on the site, the methods available to you will all be shown based on the items in your cart and your shipping address.
