Repair Service Terms & Conditions
1. Repair Agreement
By purchasing a diagnostic or repair service, you agree to send us your original unit for inspection, diagnosis, and/or repair. All repair orders are subject to a minimum non-refundable diagnostic fee of $139.99.
Before sending your item, you must complete our fillable Tanin Electronix Work Order Form and include it with your shipment. We will not begin work on any item without a completed and signed work order form.
2. Diagnostic Fee
Every repair item received by our facility is subject to a minimum $139.99 non-refundable diagnostic fee, as explained on the work order form. This fee applies regardless of whether the item is ultimately repaired, deemed non-repairable, or you decline the recommended repair or replacement.
If you decline a repair service or replacement part after diagnosis, you will still owe the diagnostic fee, plus return shipping charges based on the shipping method you choose.
3. REPAIR AND Warranty Terms
Repair service does not guarantee that every unit is repairable or that repair or replacement of one component will resolve all vehicle issues. Multiple systems may contribute to similar symptoms.
To qualify for warranty coverage on our repair work, you must send the complete assembled unit, including the lens and plastic covers where applicable. If you are sending a Nissan or Infiniti cluster, do not send the outer plastic housing, bezel surrounds, or dash pad, as these are not considered part of the gauge cluster.
4. Non-repairable Items
If your unit is found to be non-repairable and you choose to purchase a replacement unit, we may dispose of the original unit unless you specifically request its return.
If you want the original item returned, you must notify us before order completion and you will be responsible for all additional return shipping charges.
5. Shipping Insurance
If you use our UPS inbound shipping portal, you may purchase additional inbound shipping insurance to protect your shipment against loss, theft, or carrier damage while in transit to us.
At checkout, you may also purchase outbound shipping insurance for the return shipment back to you. Outbound shipments are automatically insured up to $100 at no additional charge. This usually covers minor shipping damage such as cracked lenses or light cosmetic damage.
We are not responsible for loss or damage beyond the insurance amount selected. If you ship the item yourself or provide your own return label, we cannot file an insurance claim on your behalf. Any shipping damage, loss, or insurance claim in that situation must be handled directly with your shipping carrier.

I had my Lexus mechanic do the replacement of climate control reflector screen. He said it was a smooth process with the hardest part being removal of residue glue left behind from old screen. The old reflector screen had cloudy stains building up on the inside of the screen which could not be cleaned and I found very annoying to look at every time I got in my Lexus SC430. I tried to upload a picture of new screen in place but no matter how small I resized image it would not work.
I was hoping Tanin Electronix could replace the LED Lights on the radio buttons which come on and then go dark after a couple of minutes but they told me they do not work on Lexus Radios.

Hardest thing is to safely remove the old screen without damaging the LCD panel behind it.
I tried a guitar pick, but no luck, so I c a r e f u l l y drilled a 3/32nd’s hole in the upper right corner. it cracked a small piece of the screen and that gave me the break i needed to remove the bad one with a dental tool. new one is awesome! thanks for selling these

Tanin is a great source for custom replacement parts for vintage autos. The quality is great and they are able to reproduce the OEM part seamlessly.

Straightforward and easy to install. Challenge is on how to lift the old one, I used a sharp pointed tweezers to yank out the old cover. Install is easy, lay it down and it sticks.
